Concept of Formulas behind YouTube
and its growing popularity
My
topic, “YouTube and its growing popularity” has a strong belief of free-online
video by million viewer, negative myth of it charge money to its viewer and positive
myth of it have every kinds of video is still there with lots of people, it is
also a ritual for a million people to stay log in and watch free video for free
time (Lev Grossman, 2012) and several hours. By all theory, I can say that it
is an icon of video gallery to all. Behind these successes, there is a formula
that covers a large movement (RaY B.B., 2005). If we look closely, there were
several updates and product development in this site, for example: sharing in
social networks, can log in with gmail account, we can view different TV’s
episode online without commercial, etc.
There
have always been formulas to sustain this site. From its beginning in 2005, the
three entrepreneurs had invented YouTube as their invention. It was the first
free-online video gallery that became the largest free-online video store of
our generation. In its starting phase, formula of creating and increasing
viewer was; user can upload their file, share it and view the video. After Google
had acquired the company and different convention were used to develop the site.
It includes; likes and dislike on video, comment, ads by Google, gmail account
sign in, choosing quality of video, download it, history, personal collection
listed in gmail etc. The formula seems powerful to make YouTube as no one in
online video gallery.
The
theory of formula makes me think in the strategic part of the organization from
the starting to till the date; every movement, development, product
development, market penetration, customer Intimacy, Operational Excellence, etc.
Now I am clear that behind every organization, literature, movie, story,
commercials, creation and development; there is a formula that were modified,
myth and convention from other sources to create new one.
